HMS Blackmorevale was a Hunt class minesweeper of the Royal Navy. On 1st May, 1918 she herself hit a mine, laid by the German submarine U-71, and sank in the North Sea off Montrose in eastern Scotland. Eleven members of her crew, including her captain, Geoffrey Luscombe, did not survive this incident.
